Crowley had been having a ball. He'd figured out a bit of hackery with some code and some infernal miracles and soon enough he had millions of people angry at social media for long load times, zero refresh rates, and suspensions that came and were lifted seemingly at random.

He was absolutely giddy as he walked into the bookshop. He spied the angel in his chair and went to the one unanimously agreed to be his and flopped down, legs splayed out long and wide.

"Isn't it the most beautiful day?" he said cheerfully.

Never a good sign.

"Of course. Oysters," he replied, then shifted into gear and screamed away from the book shop. Crowley didn't pay attention, he barely held the wheel. The car would get them where they needed to be.

"Must you always drive so fast," Aziraphale breathed, though they had arrived nearly by the time he'd finished the sentence.

"Oh, relax, angel," Crowley drawled. "I haven't discorporated you yet."

The car slid into a spot and shut off, though if it was ever actually running in the first place was up for debate.

"That's very good, you know how fond I am of this body," Aziraphale said as he unbuckled and climbed out of the car.

"Me too," he purred as the angel got out.

The place was right on the water and the hostess took them to a table with a lovely view. He ordered win before he even sat down.

Aziraphale sighed when he looked out the window. "Oh, I do so love this city."

Crowley sipped his wine and ignored the city entirely, choosing instead to marvel at the angel's beauty. He was determined tonight to convince Aziraphale he should definitely focus on the demon and not that masty little trollop.

"The view is lovely," he said kindly.

Aziraphale looked back at him, and only then realized that Crowley was gazing at him. His cheeks went slightly pink and he smiled.

The the waiter returned with their wine and, somehow so quickly, oysters.

"Iiiii...would have assumed you preferred Paris," he said, casually looking away like he'd not been staring.

"Don't you think this feels like home now?" Azirpahale asked, and reached for an oyster, before the wine.

Crowley thought of how it truly did, but he could call anywhere home if Aziraphale was there.

"I guess," he shrugged, gulping his wine.

"Should we toast?" Aziraphale asked, holding up his glass.

[sauntereddownward]

"What shall we toast to?" he asked, pouring himself another glass before raising it.

[theangelfell]

"To home," said Aziraphale, and clinked his glass to Crowley's.

He took a sip, then said, "Have some oysters, my dear."

Crowley took one and ate it. It was fine, but he didn't get the same joy from them that Aziraphale did. He'd rather watch him gorge himself. Such a hedonist.

"Are these even in season?" he asked.

[theangelfell]

"They are for us," Aziraphale said cheerfully, and ate another.

:Did you just miracle us good oysters?" Crowley asked, vaguely scandalized...and vaguely impressed. "That's a gross misuse of that skill, don't you think?"

[theangelfell]

"I didn't have to miracle exactly," Aziraphale mumbled. "Just encouraged a little."

[sauntereddownward]

"Hmph. Encouraged," he replied.

Then took another and slurped it with obscene enjoyment.

Aziraphale's gaze lingered on Crowley's mouth after he swallowed. Then he refilled his own glass of wine.

"Maybe we ought to go away. Always appreciate home more upon return. How'd you like to travel?" Crowley asked.

[theangelfell]

"Oh," said Crowley, a little surprised. "You want to go away? Nothing to attend to here?"

[sauntereddownward]

He arched a brow.

"Do you have anything to attend to here?" he asked, wondering if he was hesitant because of Alcuin. He'd have to squash that, but fast.

[theangelfell]

Actually Aziraphale was thinking that getting Crowley out of the city might be good for Alcuin. "I mean, just... the bookshop," he said. "But. Where do you want to go?"

"Let's go to Tokyo," he suggested. "We can do a sushi tour."
