Fin
Things were going swimmingly with Aziraphale. The things he'd learned from Fin about feelings had helped to ease his discomfort in this troubling time. The counsel had helped so much that Crowley felt uncharacteristically grateful.
He should do something. That's what humans did. He could get Fin a gift.
Yes, he decided, a gift.
Crowley knocked on Fin's door, having sauntered right into the building and into the lift as if there wasn't any reason he shouldn't. He simply headed straight for the door, knocked, then waited. It would be terribly rude to try to walk right in.

"You can come in, but I need a minute. Make yourself at home, alright?" he said, leaving Crowley to it as he returned to the nursery to finish getting Luna settled in for her nap.

In his hands he held a gift wrapped in cellophane.
Feeling a bit awkward, he stood there waiting for Fin to come back.
no subject
Fin eventually returned, smiling and then quirking a brow.
"What's that then?" he asked.
no subject
Crowley offered it to him with both hands.
"It's a gift, obviously," he said.
no subject
"Oh. ...Why am I getting a gift? And is it something dreadful, because there's a baby in the flat, Crowley and I'm trying really hard not to traumatize her. ....To varying levels of success," Fin replied.
no subject
"Just open it and be grateful," he grumbled. "It's to thank you for the role you played in the success of my love life."
no subject
"Oh- Thanks. It's very nice," the fae said, putting the gift aside.
"What has happened with your love life then?" he asked. "Did you... You know? Have you been intimate?"
no subject
"In fact, we have been," he said with a Proud grin. ""We're getting very good at it."
no subject
"That's great, Crowley," Fin smiled. "So it's official then, you're together?"
no subject
The Prideful grin softened and shifted a bit and Crowley nodded.
"He is my boyfriend," he confirmed. "It's a much better Arrangement."
no subject
"I think that's lovely, Crowley. Congratulations," Fin beamed.
no subject
"It seems to be going swimmingly. He sleeps in my bed and has brought soaps and pyjamas. It's very serious, I think."
He wet his lips, then opened his mouth. Closed it. Paused, then asked,
"When does one propose marriage? Typically?"
no subject
"Uh... I don't know. I don't think my own marriage was a good example, what with all the bureaucracy. I think you propose when you feel ready," Fin replied.
no subject
"I don't think bureaucracy is very romantic," he said thoughtfully. He hummed softly. "If it was different, if you'd gotten to choose, what would you imagine marriage to be?"
He was insanely curious because it seemed every single person he asked had a different answer. How, he wondered, were humans just like this?
no subject
"I- I don't think it's something I really want," Fin admitted. "I'm content to just be with the ones I love. I don't need a document to prove I love them or am loved."
no subject
"How very interesting," the demon mused. "For me it is different because I don't even like anyone but him."
no subject
"And you're pretty sure he feels the same way?" Fin asked.
no subject
"Oh, he Loves everyone," he said with a dismissive wave of his hand. "But that's Love. Capital L. He's supposed to. But he is in love with me, which is...different."
no subject
"Right," Fin replied. "And, so, what happens if you propose and he says no?" he asked, since he had a strong feeling that was a possible outcome Crowley hadn't yet prepared himself for.
no subject
Crowley had not, in fact, thought anything like that. Why in the world would the angel say no?
Doubt bloomed in him and he scowled.
"Surely, he wouldn't say no," he said cautiously.
no subject
"I mean, he probably wont, but, you know, it does happen, Crowley," Fin said gently.
no subject
"How do I make sure he says yes?" the demon demanded, assuming Fin would just know.
no subject
no subject
Crowley hmmphed through his nose.
"You are the absolute worst," he said. "Why do you do this to me? You enjoy watching me work for this, don't you?"
no subject
"I'm going to admit to a certain level of indifference, Crowley. I mean, you're alright and I'm glad things are going well, but I can't pretend to be very invested in your hypothetical future wedding. I mean, I've not even met the boyfriend. He could be a twat for all I know," Fin pointed out.
