Fin
Things were going swimmingly with Aziraphale. The things he'd learned from Fin about feelings had helped to ease his discomfort in this troubling time. The counsel had helped so much that Crowley felt uncharacteristically grateful.
He should do something. That's what humans did. He could get Fin a gift.
Yes, he decided, a gift.
Crowley knocked on Fin's door, having sauntered right into the building and into the lift as if there wasn't any reason he shouldn't. He simply headed straight for the door, knocked, then waited. It would be terribly rude to try to walk right in.

"I'm...not. No- yes. No, no, no, definitely not offended. Just, perhaps a bit confused," he said. People didn't call him friend. Well, none that anyone would consider sane.

Fin laughed softly, but didn't say anything to that.
no subject
"Do you think that's funny?" he asked dryly.

"You are like a splinter in my bum," he said...and it strangely sounded like a compliment.
no subject
"You're such a wordsmith, Crowley. A poet," Fin laughed.
In the other room Luna began to fuss, and the fae quickly got up to fetch her. After a quick diaper change he brought her out, bouncing her a bit as he settled back in on the sofa with her.
"You going to say hello to Crowley?" he asked her, even though Luna could barely do more than gurgle and squeak.
no subject
Crowley leaned in to see her better. Though he didn't really move, something about him softened, all his prickle resolving. He offered her a finger and she grabbed it.
"Awh, aren't you the sweetest little thing? Such a grip," he cooed at her, much the way he'd spoken to Warlock when he was wee.
"You're going to be so terribly charming, dear girl. With the right influences you'll be able to crush every nasty-wasty foe you ever meet. Yes, you will. Yes. You. Will."
no subject
Fin laughed, watching the pair. He was getting a lot more comfortable letting others interact with the tiny fae.
no subject
"Such a clever girl. You'll give your daddy grey hair," he continued to coo. For someone who was such a general bastard, Crowley turned to mush around babies.
no subject
"Don't worry, Luna. Life in general will turn me gray long before you get the chance," Fin snorted.
no subject
"You won't be grey for centuries," he laughed lightly.
no subject
"How'd you reckon that?" Fin laughed.
no subject
"Well, you're fae," he replied as if it was obvious. "Notoriously long lived, fae."
no subject
"Well, half-fae," Fin pointed out. "I might age like a mortal."
no subject
"Might," he agreed flatly, but then shook his head. He didn't believe Fin was likely to be blessed with a normal life span. The demon thought it pessimistic, but he could envision Fin either dying very soon, given his life as it was, or, more upsetting, that he'd be a constant figure in the demon's life for quite some time. Because they were friends.
Chilling.
no subject
"Just saying," Fin shrugged.
no subject
"Don't let anyone dim your optimism," Crowley told him. Luna made a small sound and the demon smiled at her. "She really is quite precious, Fin."
no subject
"She's perfect," Fin smiled. "...Do you, um- Do you want to hold her?" he offered.
It was something he was getting better about, letting others hold her and tend to her.
no subject
"May I?" he replied, both shocked and pleased. He reached for her and took her very delicately, holding her close. "Oh, she's just brimming with magic, isn't she?" he smiled.
no subject
"Do you think?" Fin asked nervously.
no subject
Crowley made a small, non-committal 'hm' and offered a tiny shrug.
"All children are magic," the demon said. "Every single one of them."
no subject
"I didn't have you pegged as a child lover." Fin admitted with a smile.
no subject
"Why not? Did you assume I'm the sort to go around eating them?" he asked, then looked down to Luna and softly said, "I would not do that. No. We do not eat up babies. No."
no subject
"I dunno, I suppose I thought you'd find them unappealing is all," Fin shrugged.
