Aziraphale

Crowley was walking in as Klaus was walking out. It seemed like they crossed paths in the doorway a lot. So much that Crowley was getting a bit annoyed. He sauntered in and found Aziraphale with a book and his cocoa that had long gone cold.

"What are you doing?" he asked, sounding annoyed- which he normally did, so it was hard to say if he was actually upset or not.

"Well, I don't think... the book isn't not good," Aziraphale said. "They're married. I, however, am not. So no canoodling."

"What, me?" Aziraphale had had many confusing conversations with Crowley over many years, but this one was taking the cake. "Waiting for what? Are you suggesting I should marry Klaus Hargreeves?"

Aziraphale blinked at him. "That seems unlikely," he said.

Aziraphale looked at him for a moment and then said, "I suppose you know all about this."

That wasn't what Aziraphale meant. But for whatever reason... he couldn't bring himself to say it. Because he realized that he really didn't want to know what kinds of canoodling Crowley had been doing.

"Well," he finally said, "I suppose I should be getting home. We can continue reading tomorrow... if you'd like to."

"All right... one more," Aziraphale said, and tucked the book under his arm.

Aziraphale wasn't terribly surprised by the state of the kitchen, but he did wave a hand and used magic to clean it up a bit.

Aziraphale winced when he saw that the water was boiling. Ah, well. It was the thought that counts.

"Yes, please," he said. Perhaps the honey could make up for how bitter the tea was bound to be.

When Aziraphale took the cup he did a quick spell to transfigure it into something palatable. He didn't say anything, not wanting to hurt Crowley's feelings.

"If you'd like to keep reading tomorrow you could come to mine," he offered, thinking that then at least he'd be the one making tea.

"Oh, um. Six?" Aziraphale offered. "I'll make tea."
